To meet a critical need during staffing transitions, JAT provided comprehensive financial management support services for the City of Johns Creek, Georgia. A JAT professional served as Interim Finance Director and performed high-level Finance Director tasks, directed by City Management and City Council, until the city filled these vacant Finance Department positions.

JAT meets critical needs during staffing transitions.

JAT’s manager was responsible for supervision and training of accounting staff, working with city departments on financial matters, providing oversight of day-to-day operations within the Finance Department and the annual financial audit.
In addition, JAT’s manager performed tasks as needed for City Management and City Council to assist with cash management, budget compliance, and internal financial reporting.
JAT responsibilities included:
Preparation of financial reporting and cash flow projections for presentation to City Council
Monitoring of compliance with budgets and working with departments to resolve issues
Supervision of Finance Department staff
Review of accounts payable check runs and optimizing process efficiency
Management of city’s general ledger
Review of schedules, work papers, and internal control documentation for annual financial audit
Close collaboration with staff to foster an environment of professional development
