JAT assists with financial and accounting functions, including but not limited to:

  • Month-end closing procedures including reconciliation of payroll, bank accounts, and other balance sheet accounts

  • Recording activity of the municipal court, credit accounts, and automated deposits and withdrawals in the city’s accounting system

  • Quarterly payroll tax reconciliation and filing

  • Monthly financial reports to Mayor and City Council

  • Budget development and implementation

  • Financial audit preparation and reporting

  • Continuing bond disclosures

  • Implementation of internal controls pertaining to cash receipts and accounts payable
