Financial Management Support Services
To meet a critical need during staffing transitions, JAT provides comprehensive financial management support services for the City of Winder. A JAT professional serves as Interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO), responsible for oversight of the Finance Department. The JAT Interim CFO performs high-level financial management tasks, as directed by city management and city council. Additionally, a JAT professional serves as Controller responsible for all financial accounting, revenue collection, budget, payroll, cash management, investment, accounts payable, and debt management operations as directed by the CFO.
JAT meets critical needs during staffing transitions.

JAT is responsible for supervision and training of accounting staff, working with city departments on financial matters, providing oversight of day-to-day operations within the Finance Department, and for the annual financial audit.
In addition, the JAT Interim CFO and staff perform tasks as needed for City Management and City Council to assist with cash management, budget compliance, and internal financial reporting.
JAT responsibilities include:
Preparation of financial reporting and cash flow projections for presentation to City Council
Monitoring of compliance with budgets and working with departments to resolve issues
Supervision of Finance Department staff
Management of city’s general ledger
Preparation of schedules, work papers, and internal control documentation for annual financial audit
Coordination of the annual budget process
Close collaboration with staff to foster an environment of professional development
